Boy Scout Troop 915 is located in Hampton, Virginia, and our chartering sponsor is the Bethany United Methodist Men. We are in the Heritage District of the Colonial Virginia Council.
Troop 915 meets weekly on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Class A uniforms required during the school year, and Class B for the summer.
Scouts conduct monthly outings which include camping, hiking, and fishing. In 2015 the troop attended Summer Camp at Camp Shenandoah and we are currently planning for our next trip. .
The boys started a 50 mile trek on April 1 and completed in on April 5. We started at Go Ape, it is a zip line and obstacle course. We drove to Chickahominy River Park where we did a 3 mile canoe and we camped there. On the second day we hiked 7 miles to Eco Discovery Park ad we did a service project. We biked back to CRP and camped there for a second night. The third day we biked 12 miles to a pull off on the Colonial Parkway. From there we canoed 3 miles across the James River to Hogs Island . Then we hiked 5 miles around Hogs Island and camped there. On the fourth day we canoed 5 miles to Ft. Eustis then we did a 1 mile hike to our campsite. Then we did a 4 mile hike to the Transportation Museum. Then we did a 2 mile hike to the mess hall. The we did a .5 mile hike back to camp and camped there. The final day we did a .5 mile hike to the mess hall to eat breakfast and hand out awards.
